My name is Brooklyn Danforth. I began my homeschool journey in 2023, after a year of traditional middle school. What began as a change in direction became an opportunity to discover new interests. I found myself drawn to history, law, politics, and the principles that shape our country. I believe strongly in the importance of educating ourselves, asking questions, and never becoming too comfortable with what we think we already know.

Interests

Reading has always been a passion of mine. I enjoy non-fiction, history, politics, and theology, but my interests reach beyond leather bound pages. I enjoy traveling and immersing myself in foreign cultures and ideas. I love being around children and finding opportunities to serve and help other people. I understand and respect that we all have different life experiences that shape our opinions on social and geopolitical issues, and enjoy having thoughtful conversations, not just with like-minded people, but also those with differing views and perspectives.

On a lighter note, I enjoy baking, fashion, and fitness!

Academic Achievements

I completed my high school classes this year and am currently working on dual credit pre-requisites for my Bachelor's Degree in Legal Studies. I hold a 3.9 GPA and have a certificate in Social Media Marketing. I'm not sure what my future looks like, and am trusting God to lead me, but I am hopeful for a future in advocacy, democracy, and upholding the founding principles that made this country great.

Public Service

I am on the service team at my church and assist with child care and teaching in our Sunday school classrooms. My parents and I are also heavily involved in an international missions outreach and have spent the last year serving the community of Piedras Negras, Mexico. We have brought relevant supplies to local orphanages, serving hot meals with Good Samaritan, and have assisted with construction projects on a local school where we were able to bring electricity to every classroom.

I have also received recognition from the President and Vice President of the United States for my interest and activism for VA Reform.
